Summer is here and my crafting has definitely taken on a summer camp out theme, hence the Summer Camp Out Necklaces now available in my Etsy shop. After stumbling upon these vintage brightly colored wooden beads I just knew they needed a new life in the form of bold summer jewelry and for only $28 why would you hesitate…
Like many Wes Anderson fans I was thrilled to see his newest release Moonrise Kingdom this week. Following suit with the rest of his films the costumes and props are ripe for crafty replication. I’ve already been in the summer time camp craft mode and this just pushed me over the edge.
Just think of it you could replicate this map on cotton to make a great summer inspired pillowcase, compass brooches, binocular necklaces, and for those of you who have seen the film you could even make your own beetle earrings. The possibilities are endless!
I hope this inspires you to look for craft ideas in your daily life, oh and make sure to go see Moonrise Kingdom. Keep an eye out for my Moonrise Kingdom inspired crafts.
