This locket was inspired by Becky’s nephew Mason and his love of the moon, as well as the 1902 George Méliès’s film Le Voyage dans la lune. Mason & Margot’s Trip to the Moon invites you to create the story behind this moon-struck couple as they explore the surface of this celestial body.
As always, these lockets are created as part of a limited edition collaboration between becky’s buttons and illustrator, Miss Guindon. There are only 50 in existence so don’t delay, click here to purchase…
Sara Guindon & I have just completed the fifth in a series of collaborative diorama locket designs. “Marceline Discovers the Castle and Her Adventure Begins” follows Marceline as she journeys through the cool winter night only to discover a castle as she passes through a clearing. A mysterious light is on in the window leaving us to wonder what awaits Marceline.
I am pleased to announce that you can now find becky’s buttons & things at two locally owned boutiques here in Denver, Rakun & Fast Geek Boutique. Rakun is nestled in the Arts District on Santa Fe and specializes in locally made goods as well as recycled and upcycled wares.
The owner Meghan makes these adorable hand-stamped children’s clothing and shoes. Needless to say I’ll be headed back soon for a pair of those anchor shoes.
Fast Geek Boutique is located in a cute strip of locally owned restaurants and store fronts called Cherokee Row. Created by Tina Jolliffe and Vincent Fasano, Fast Geek Boutique is dedicated to the creative local talents of Denver. The store includes original clothing designs, vintage clothing, accessories, jewelry, fabrics, craft supplies, art, books, and music.
If you haven’t been to these gems yet, check them out and tell them I sent you!
